Azucena Mayberry, Ph.D.

I have a Ph.D. in educational psychology and over ten years of experience curating supportive resources for (child) psychology, education, and social-emotional learning.

Because of this I can help identify approaches that work, and streamline the process of supporting neurodiverse children.

Years ago we had no idea what neurodiversity was. But, practically from the time our daughter was born I explained our situation by saying,

“We don’t have a special needs child, we have an extra needs child”

It wasn’t until years later and after multiple evaluations that she received a diagnosis and things started to make sense. We pursued multiple treatments, many of which were in vain. It took years to cultivate the supportive and effective team we have today. It took years for me to feel comfortable knowing how to advocate for my child.

Now I aim to support other families going through similar situations and give them the support I wish I’d had during that time.
